二 | 4月20日，清远市连山小三江镇鹿鸣村的信息员韦统铭沿河进行巡查。已遭受多日暴雨的小三江镇小三江河水位不断上升，湍急的洪流、漂浮物等不断冲击着河堤。18时40分，打着手电巡查的韦统铭发现，小三江拦河坝出现安全隐患，立马上报网格员莫异平。 网格员莫异平称：“来到小三江桥这里，桥墩已经掏空裸露出来了，我立即上报并提醒群众不能通行，没多久镇领导就过来了。” 收到险情后，小三江镇党委、政府迅速带队赶往现场。核实发现，拦河坝发生位移，拦河坝西岸出现塌方，小三江桥桥墩裸露。
三 | 经研判分析，立即安排专人值守，禁止群众通行，同时组织网格员和镇村干部挨家挨户疏散两岸群众。
四 | 20时30分，经有关部门专业意见，小三江镇政府果断封桥，随后扩大范围陆续转移安置一河两岸周边群众。暴雨持续袭击，在封桥一个多小时后，22时14分，拦河坝被洪水冲开。40分钟后，23时54分，小三江桥塌方。一河两岸约1400名群众安然无恙。 广东清远：洪水中穿梭搜寻被困人员 展开救援行动 在广东清远，持续强降雨导致当地许多河流水位暴涨，防汛形势严峻。受连江水位上涨影响，广东清远浛洸镇遭受洪水侵袭，当地组织人员帮助被困群众转移，同时开展地毯式搜寻被困人员。
五 | 4月21日晚11时，连江浛洸站下游水位达到38.99米，高于警戒水位3.49米。浛洸镇街区内路边商铺水深达1至2米。4月22日，镇村15支救援小分队与深圳消防、蓝天救援队等支援力量继续协力开展救援工作。 记者跟随一艘蓝天救援队的充气冲锋舟，在镇政府工作人员的引导下前往水浸街区接载群众。
